“Upon a time,”
the story goes,
“There was a
girl in too-tight hose,
Who wiggled,
squirmed, and itched a bit
In Sunday
dress with too-tight fit.”
And even as
she grew much older
She dressed
just as the culture told her.
She crammed
her feet into high heels
And wore the
clothes with latest frills
But deep
inside she longed to wander
Through
meadows vast with no shoes on her
And so, one
day she just said, “No!”
The heels
and frills just had to go
“Those
things are fine for some,” said she.
“But
pantyhose just don’t suit me.
I’d rather
wear a big straw hat,
Blue
overalls and shoes plain flat.”
From that
day on she smiled more
Comfy in the
clothes she wore.
